Are Mini Dental Implants Painful?

In this video, Dr. Rose Magno explains what patients typically experience during mini dental implant treatment and why many find the procedure easier than expected.

I’m not the one getting it, so I can’t tell you if it’s painful or not, but once I numb you, patients rarely complain, and they tell me that they didn’t feel anything. A lot of times, they ask me, “Oh, you’re already done?” So it’s a nice, friendly, easy procedure as opposed to the two-piece surgical type of implant. So yeah, I would say a lot of patients say that it’s more comfortable. I mean, I used to do a lot of the two-piece implants, but a lot of patients get scared to get a second surgery again and don’t finish the job or the treatment. Then they just end up with a post in their mouth, and they didn’t finish putting the crown in because they had to wait so long. So yeah, this is a little bit better, simpler, and easier.
