Is Bone Grafting Required for Mini Dental Implants?

In this video, Dr. Rose Magno explains when bone grafting may or may not be necessary for mini dental implant treatment.

Again, it depends. I would check your bone and I would check the X-rays. Most likely, you’re not going to need any bone grafts to do mini implants. The only reason we place bone grafts is if I pull your teeth and put the implants in the same day, you’re going to have a space there, so we need to plug it with some bone graft. The bone graft is like bone seeds, and it’ll help generate bone so it can surround the implant while it’s healing.
